600 Series model families
Common 600 Series models include 601R, 601RG, 601F, 611/611G, 632, 642, 650/650G, 661, 680, 685, 690 and 695. Sub-Zero documentation identifies later BI-series successors for many of these models.
The 600 Series uses electronic controls and can display service-related messages, including the well-known Vacuum Condenser warning on applicable models.
What we diagnose
Cooling complaints can involve airflow, sensors, fans, door sealing, condenser condition, controls or refrigeration-system components. A warning message is a symptom to investigate, not a diagnosis by itself.
Before scheduling service
Record the model number, displayed temperatures and any message on the control panel. Note whether the refrigerator, freezer or both sections are affected and whether the compressor appears to run continuously.
